If the thought of cauliflower turns your stomach, this Spicy Sticky Cauliflower recipe from Plantifully Based, might make you a firm believer in the vegetable. We said, might. Sweet, spicy and sticky, this dish is great for a quick weeknight meal that's not only filling, but unbelievably delicious. Plus, it all comes together in less than 30 minutes with less than 10 ingredients.
15 oz cauliflower
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp 1/2 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp rice vinegar
Garlic powder, salt, cayenne pepper
Preheat oven to 450F.
Sprinkle cauliflower with some salt and garlic powder, lay on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-30 minutes until roasted and crispy.
Combine water and cornstarch in a pan on medium heat. Once they are combined and there are no clumps add in soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, 2-3 tsp garlic powder, 2-3 tsp cayenne depending on how spicy you like it.
The sauce will thicken as it cooks so don’t worry if its watery at first. Once cauliflower is roasted lightly toss in pan and top with green onions, sesame seeds and red pepper flakes for extra spice!
